I have always been inspired by ancient sites and the architectural ruins of past civilizations, and my stone sculpture and mixed media work are influenced by images of the past.  It is important to me to contrast the broken, rough texture of stone fragments with the use of a contrasting, polished modern beauty of the stones.

I use my mixed media sculptures, which incorporate stone, antique objects and mosaic, to express my feelings about different subjects which have touched my life or to tell stories through subtle references.  It is my hope that the viewer will access the artwork, discover its meaning through universal human emotions, and enjoy it as it affects them in spirit and understanding.
